The screen layout issues discussed below may be experienced on certain devices.
In all of the following examples the LEFT MIRROR view is shown, with the CARAVAN SITE scene, SUV 1 and CARAVAN 1 models selected. Mirror surrounds have also been selected here and set to maximum stretch.
On Android devices with edge-to-edge display (Android 15 and above), the main view layout overlaps the top status bar and the navigation bar on the right. If the device has a display cutout for the front-facing camera, this might also interfere with the display of the button control panel on the left.
Device : Google Pixel 9A
Padding has now been added where appropriate to avoid any overlap problems.
Device : Google Pixel 9A
The mobile app version of <<reversemytrailer is based on a driving simulator program originally created for Windows desktop. This is optimised for use on a standard computer screen with an aspect ratio of 16:9. The screenshot image below shows a mobile phone screen which has almost exactly this aspect ratio.
Device : Huawei P10
On taller, narrower tablet devices such as the iPad, more of the top and bottom of the scene is visible and the mirror surround is stretched vertically due to shape of the screen.
Device : iPad Air 2
On long, thin devices, the opposite situation occurs with the mirror surround being stretched horizontally.
Device : Google Pixel 9A
In order to provide a consistent experience across all devices, a fixed aspect ratio of 16:9 has now been applied everywhere.
Tall and narrow devices now have upper and lower padding applied where necessary to create a 16:9 aspect ratio.
Device : iPad Air 2
Long, thin devices have left and right padding applied to maintain the 16:9 aspect ratio.
Device : Google Pixel 9A
The view displayed should now be consistent across all mobile devices. If this new layout does not display correctly on your device for any reason, please contact us for assistance.
