Troubleshooting

Most installations of the <<reversemytrailer app are trouble-free but if you experience any problems please take a look at the information below.

If this does not help, please contact us and we will investigate further.

If you can't get past the Welcome page

You should be able to see 3 start buttons at the bottom of the Welcome screen, as in the screen shot below. You must tap one of these to progress to the tutorial, quick start or simulator.

If these buttons are not visible you may have your text scaling or display scaling set too high. Try selecting a lower setting and then restart the app.

If the app gets stuck or crashes on startup

When it runs for the first time the app connects to our web server and downloads a number of important configuration and data files.

If this download operation does not complete fully the app can get stuck at this point, or simply crash.

This is likely to be caused by a temporary break in the connection with the web server.

The problem can usually be resolved by uninstalling and reinstalling the app. However, it is important to check the following before doing this:

• Ensure you have a stable internet connection. WiFi is best for this purpose.
• If you are using WiFi and you have a VPN active on your router, try disconnecting this.
• If you are using an Apple device and have the iOS Private Relay feature enabled, try disabling this.

If the problem persists, please contact us giving as much information as you can. In particular, please include details of any error messages you may see.
